It’s About Time Inc. provides sponsored residential services to individual’s eighteen (18) and older diagnosed with intellectual disabilities as defined by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD).
The primary focus is to ensure that the individual is encouraged to be as independent as possible.
It’s About Time, Inc. prefers and promotes a team approach to the individual and their family while exploring what works and what doesn’t work for the individual. For example, some individuals may opt to volunteer; visit their local coffee shop in the mornings; join their local gym; attend a Day Support Program; learn skills to earn a pay check through a Pre-vocational program; and/ or receive paid work.
Support and supervision are available to enable individuals to acquire, maintain, or improve their health, developmental, and physical condition. An emphasis is placed on a person-centered approach that encourages and assists each individual with developing his or her own lifestyle tailored to their own specific needs and or desires.
Individuals contribute to the household through planning of weekly meals, grocery shopping, scheduling vacations and outings, and choosing activities.
